Welcome to WW7B - A Wealth of Resources
Dr. Rick Mrazek
Decisions made about WATER are fundamental to society’s long-term social, environmental and economic prosperity. In the face of compelling regional, national and global water challenges there was a unique opportunity to convene water scholars, decision-makers, managers and educators to focus on identifying and articulating the science, knowledge and activities that lead to game-changing improvements that support sustainable water management outcomes. This DIALOGUE, intended to be held every other year, is becoming recognized as a premier forum to discover and refine the opportunities for the practical implementation of such changes. This site is a legacy of the conference held in Calgary, Alberta May 8–12, 2012 where a significant number of participants joined us in person and virtually. The conference was a unique opportunity for everyone for which water is a critical issue, to participate, engage, learn and share their experience and knowledge through the interactive format of panel dialogue and delegate participation. Keynotes and panel presenters represent leaders in their field. They focused on what is possible if we elevate the level of action around improved sustainability.
Welcome to the Water in a World of 7 Billion website – a wealth of resources resulting from our May, 2012 conference including overviews of each session by a talented group of Lethbridge College graduates from the communication arts program. The full video of each of our presenter and keynote sessions are included as well. There are related resources and photos from each session provided for more in depth exploration of the topic. We hope you find these resources useful and we look forward to continuing this conversation. We invite you to take advantage of the free site registration that provides you the opportunity to provide feedback to us on the use of the site, keep informed of future development, and access information provided by our incredible world-class speakers. Enjoy the site.
